Employee training and benefits
Employee training and benefits
The
twenty-first century has changed the functionality, as well as the mindset of
society. There was a time when employees were expected to ensure the success of
the organizations by utilizing their knowledge and skills. However, now the
organizations provide training programs to the workforce and develop their
skills. It helps the companies as well as the employees to grow and make
progress.
If we
want to retain employees, we need to invest in their growth, learning and
development. (Online: Wharton)
“Employee
training is defined as a planned set of activities for imparting knowledge to
employees, such that it leads to a growth in job skills required for
organizational growth”
Employee
training is the short-term process of meeting the needs of a company over a
specific need. Also, it is the systematic process of enhancing
the job-related skills, attitude, and knowledge of personnel. The top
management is responsible for training the staff within the organization.
Employee
training is deferred with training and development. T & D is the
multilayered process. It is designed to develop larger human resource
development in the organization. For the example employee is trained for the
purpose of implementing new system in the organization is called employee

In fact, according to a Computerworld magazine survey,
executives say there is an increasing need for people who have not only the
skills and technical skills to do a job but also the necessary soft skills,
such as strong listening and communication abilities (Hoffman, 2007).
